Accepting the Blogger Recognition Award

blogging award MBC

Wow, wow, just wow! I'm so honoured to have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by Lauren who runs the Rosci Rocks The Blog. It's a phenomenal sense of accomplishment, knowing that another blogger out there has seen my efforts and finds value in my content. Thank you, Lauren!

What is the Blogger Recognition Award

The Blogger Recognition Award is given to bloggers by other bloggers to praise their work and promote their website so more people can have good pieces to read. There's no voting involved. Once you have been nominated, it means your content is great enough to win the award. So here I am, proudly accepting my first blogger award and hope that this will bring more people to my website, eager to get the content marketing tips I share regularly.

I started this blog for 2 reasons:

1. To share my knowledge and expertise with other business owners or aspiring entrepreneurs and help them make a full use of the power content marketing has today.

2. To boost the SEO of my professional services website, because as we all know Google loves valuable, original and frequently updated content.

Guess what, I've succeeded in both!

What happens next

Once you have been nominated/won the award, you have to acknowledge the blogger who nominated you and share a link to their website, which I did, right in the beginning of this post. Next, as an award-winning blogger, I need to give other bloggers my advice, which is about to happen below.

My advice to bloggers

1. Be consistent. - Consistency in blogging is key. First you have to be consistent about your topics, don't just go all over the place (I know it's challenging sometimes). Second, be consistent in posting. You have to regularly update your blog so it creates more traffic and gets picked up easily by the Search Engines.

2. Plan your content. - I have a 6-month schedule for blog posts, which helps me prepare my articles in time, source images and contact the right people if needed. It's also helpful to have a theme for each month; it brings more structure and builds anticipation in your readers.

Lastly, I have to nominate 15 other amazing bloggers who deserve the Blogger Recognition Award. I've taken my time with this post, because I actually went on a blogger hunt to make sure I am nominating the best and most interesting content providers, so these are not just any random links. My top 5 are blogs I read on regularly bases to educate myself, to find inspiration or just for entertainment.

My nominees:

Congratulations!
